CHAPTER 280.

AN ACT to add a f urther supplement to the act incorporating

|
|
|
the mutual fire insurance company of Cecil county, chapter
|
|
|
|
two hundred and forty-nine, of the acts of the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland of eighteen hundred and forty-five.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That in addition to the powers heretofore granted to the mutual
|
|
|
|
fire insurance company of Cecil county, to make insurance of
|

property against loss or damage by fire; the board of managers
|
|
|
|
shall have full power on behalf of the said corporation to make
|
|
|
|
insurances against loss or damages caused by lightning in such
|
|
|
|
manner and upon such terms and conditions as the said corpora-
|
|
|
|
tion by its by-laws may provide.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall effect from the
