CHAPTER 258.

|
|
AN ACT to amend article ten, of the Code of Public Local Laws
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, title "Dorchester county," suh-title "Liquor and
|
|
|
|
Intoxicating Drinks," by adding thereto an additional section
|
|
|
|
to be known as "sub-section two hundred and thirteen A,"
|
|
|
|
giving to justices of the peace of Dorchester county, jurisdic-
|
|
|
|
tion for the trial of all offenders for the violation of sections
|
|
|
|
two hundred and seven, two hundred and eight, two hundred
|
|
|
|
and nine, two hundred and ten, two hundred and eleven and
|
|
|
|
two hundred and thirteen.
|

|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That article ten, of the Code of Public Local Laws of this State,
|
|
|
|
title "Dorchester county," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating
|

Drinks," be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
|
|
|
|
the following additional sub-section to be designated as "sub-sec-
|
|
|
|
tion two hundred and thirteen A."
|
|
|
|
213 A. The several justices of the peace of Dorchester county
|
|
|
|
shall have in addition to the jurisdiction which they now possess
|
|
|
|
under the laws of this State, jurisdiction in all cases for violation
|
|
|
|
of the provisions of sections two hundred and seven, two hundred
|

and eight, two hundred and nine, two hundred and ten, two
|
|
|
|
hundred and eleven and two hundred and thirteen, of article ten,
|
|
|
|
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Dorchester
|
|
|
|
county," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," or either of
|
|
|
|
them, and their power and authority to entertain and try such
|
|
|
|
cases, and their course and manner of proceeding shall be the
|
|
|
|
same as is prescribed for justices of the peace in section two hun-
|
|
|
|
dred and twelve of the said sub-title; provided, if any violation
|
|
|
|
of the provisions of the said just mentioned six sections, or either
|
|
|
|
of them hath been committed, or any prosecution for violation of
|
To punish.
|
|
|
the same be pending before or at the time when this sub-section
|
|
|
|
goes into effect, the offender or offenders may be proceeded against
and punished in the same manner as if this sub-section had not
|
|
|
|
been adopted.

|
