CHAPTER 236.

|
AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and twenty-three, of
|
|
|
|
|
article sixteen, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
|
title "Montgomery county," sub-title "Hyattstown," and to re-
|
|
|
|
|
enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
|
That section one hundred and twenty-three, of article sixteen, of
|
|
|
|
Repeal
|
the Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title
|
|
|
|
|
"Montgomery county," sub-title "Hyattsville," be and the same
|
|
|
|
|
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read
|
|
|
|
|
as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
123. The county commissioners, justices of the peace, sheriff,
|
|
|
|
|
constables and all State and county officers shall have, hold and
|
|
|
|

|
exercise their offices and jurisdiction in said town as if this char-
|
|
|
|
|
ter had not been granted, and the county commissioners of Mont-
|
|
|
|
|
gomery county shall, on or before the first day of January in the
|
|
|
|
|
year eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and on or before the first
|
|
|
|
|
day of January in each and every year thereafter, pay over to the
|
|
|
|
|
commissioners of said town that proportion of the entire county
|
|
|
|
|
levy for the repair of roads which the total real property assessed
|
|
|
|
|
within the limits of the town of Hyattsville bears to the whole
|
|
|
|
|
amount of assessed property in Montgomery county, so that the
|
|
|
|
Roads.
|
commissioners of Hyattsville may receive and disburse for the
|
|
|
|
|
repair and maintenance of the streets of said town the amount
|
|
|
|
|
levied upon the real property within the corporate limits of the
|
|
|
|
|
town of Hyattsville for the repair of roads by the said county
|
|
|
|
|
commissioners of Montgomery county.
|
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from.
|
|
|
|
|
the date of its passage.
|
|
|
|
|
