CHAPTER 16.


AN ACT to continue the charter of the Pipe Creek Benevolent


Society.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That an act' entitled an act to incorporate the Pipe Creek Benevo-


lent Society, passed by the General Assembly of Maryland, at the


December session, eighteen hundred and forty-three, chapter one


hundred and ninety-two, and the supplement thereto, passed at the


December session, eighteen hundred and forty-four, chapter fifty-


six, and the supplement thereto, passed at the December session,


eighteen hundred and forty-nine, chapter ninety-three, and con-


tinued in force by the General Assembly of Maryland, by the act


passed at the December session thereof, eighteen hundred and

sixty-one, chapter twenty, until the first day of January, eighteen


hundred and ninety, and to the end of the next session of the


General Assembly thereafter, be and the same are further con-


tinued in force until the first Wednesday in January, in the year


nineteen hundred and ten, and to the end of the next session of


the General Assembly thereafter; the General Assembly hereby


reserving the right to alter, amend, or repeal at pleasure the char-


ter hereby extended.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take


effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 17.


AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section two, of


chapter three hundred and thirty-three, of the acts of the Gen-


eral Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session,


eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, entitled "An Act to incor-


porate the Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Maryland."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section two, of chapter three hundred and thirty-three, of


the acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the

Repeal.

January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, entitled "An
Act to incorporate the Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Mary-


land," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to


read as follows:


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the persons named in the first


section of this Act shall be the directors of said corporation, and
