CHAPTER 129,


AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section three,


of chapter sixty, of the acts of assembly, passed at the January


session eighteen hundred and eighty-four, entitled an act to


incorporate the young men's republican club of Baltimore city.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section three, of article sixty, of the acts of assembly,


passed at the January session eighteen hundred and eighty-four,


entitled an act to incorporate the young men's republican club of
Baltimore city, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said corporation shall have


the power of receiving subscriptions, donations, devises and be-


quest of money, or real or personal property, in trust or other-


wise, and of purchasing or otherwise acquiring or holding, leas-

CHAPTER 130.


AN ACT to provide for the purchase or construction of water-


works for the town of Frostburg, in Allegany county, and to


authorize the mayor and councilmen of said town to issue bonds


to pay the costs thereof.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That for the purpose of furnishing the inhabitants of the town


of Frostburg, in Allegany county, with an adequate supply of


good water, the mayor and councilmen of said town are hereby


authorized and empowered to issue coupon bonds of said town to


an amount not exceeding forty thousand dollars, which said bonds

shall be signed by the mayor and clerk of said town, and attested


with the corporate seal thereof, and shall be denominated "Frost-


burg water bonds," and bear interest not exceeding six per centum


per annum payable semi-annually, to be issued in denominations


not exceeding five hundred dollars, and to be payable at a time


not exceeding thirty years after their date, and redeemable at the


pleasure of the corporation at any time after five years from their
