CHAPTER 478.

AN ACT to repeal, amend and re-enact section
|
|
|
|
|
twelve of chapter two hundred and twenty of the
|
|
|
|
|
Acts of the General Assembly, passed at the Jan-
|
|
|
|
|
uary session, eighteen hundred and seventy-two,
|
|
|
|
|
to revive the act of incorporation of the town of
|
|
|
|
|
Salisbury.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That section twelve of chapter
|
|
|
|
|
two hundred and twenty of the Acts of the General
|
|
|
|
Repealed and
|
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January ses-
|
|
|
|
re-enacted.
|

be and the same is hereby repealed, amended and

|
|
|
|
re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That no horse, cattle,
|
|
|
|
|
hog or other live stock, geese, chicken or other do-
|
|
|
|
|
mestic fowl, shall be permitted to run at large with-
|
|
|
|
|
in the limits of the said town ; and if any chicken
|
|
|
|
|
or other domestic fowl (except geese) shall trespass
|
|
|
|
|
upon any street, alley, garden or other lot of ground
|
|
|
|

ceed to give at least three days' notice of the said

catching or taking, by advertisement posted at the
|
|
|
|
|
court house door in said town, and after giving said
|
|
|
|
|
notice the said bailiff shall proceed to sell to the
|
|
|
|
|
highest bidder, for cash, each and every chicken or
|
|
|
|
|
other domestic fowl so caught and taken (geese ex-
