AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Coun-
|
|
|
|
cil of Baltimore to accept a surrender of a lease
|
|
|
|
of property located on Block street, in Baltimore
|
|
|
|
city, from Mrs. Anne E. Dorsey, and to make a
|
|
|
|
new lease of the same in accoadance with an
|
|
|
|
agreement between the said parties, recorded
|
|
|
|
among the land records of Baltimore city, in Liber
|
|
|
|
F. A. P., No. 848, folio 175, &c.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, in tha improvement of Jones Falls,
|
|
|
|
under an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council
|
|
|
|
of Baltimore, it became necessary for the said mayor
|
|
|
|
and city council to acquire the leasehold interest in
|
|
|
|
and to certain parts of property located on Block
|
|
|
|
street, in the city of Baltimore, the fee to which was
|

in the said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
|
|
|
|
and to prevent a merger in the acquisition of the
|
|
|
|
same, it was necessary for the said Mayor and City
|
|
|
|
Council of Baltimore to obtain a surrender of the
|
|
|
|
present lease, and to make a new lease of the same ;
|
|
|
|
therefore,
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That the said Mayor and City
|
|
|
|
Council of Baltimore be and they are hereby author-
|
|
|
|
ized and empowered to accept a surrender of the
|
|
|
|
leasehold interest of Anne E. Dorsey, in and to cer-
|
|
|
|
tain property located on Block street, in the city of
|
|
|
|
Baltimore, more particularly described in an agree-
ment hereinafter referred to, and to make a new
|

lease of the same to the said Anne E. Dorsey, in
|
|
|
|
accordance with the terms of an agreement between
|
|
|
|
Anne E. Dorsey, Alien Dorsey, and Francis Hutch-
|
|
|
|
inson, trustee, and the Mayor and City Council of
|
|
|
|
Baltimore, recorded among the land records of Balti-
|
|
|
|
more city, in Liber F. A. P., No. 840, folio 175, &c.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
