of sale, and the said sale shall be for cash ; and after


deducting all costs and charges of advertising and


making said sale, the balance of the proceeds of said


sale shall be equally divided, and one half thereof


shall be paid by the officer collecting the same to the


informer, and the other half shall be paid by said


officer to the treasurer of the school board, for the


use and benefit of the public schools in said county.


SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That any person or


persons feeling aggrieved by the decision of the jus-


tice of the peace made and given under the provi-


sions of this act, shall have the right to appeal to the


circuit court for said county, and shall be notified of


the said right of appeal, by the said justice of the


peace, at the conclusion of the proceedings before


him ; provided, however, that no appeal shall be


granted as aforesaid, unless the person so appealing

and sufficient bond, with two good and responsible


sureties, to be approved by the said justice of the


peace to the State of Maryland, with condition to


prosecute said appeal to the said circuit court at its

in the event the said judgment shall be affirmed.


SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That on information


being given on oath to a justice of the peace of


said county that a violation of any of the provisions


of this act has been, or is being committed by any
