battalions or regiments of State militia already or-


ganized in the various counties of the State and the


city of Baltimore; for the payment of pensions


granted by various acts and resolutions of the Gen-


eral Assembly, one thousand dollars, or so much


thereof as may be necessary.


CONTINGENT FUND.


To the Executive for the contingent fund placed


at his disposal by article three, section thirty-two of


the Constitution, seven thousand five hundred dol-


lars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ; for the


contingent fund of the Treasury Department for


advertising, stationery, books, expressage, telegrams


and expenses, two thousand dollars, or so much there-


of as may be necessary ; for the contingent fund of


the Comptroller's Office for printing blank licenses,


protests, circulars, warrants, and for books and office


expenses, three thousand dollars, or so much thereof


as may be necessary ; for printing the annual report
of the Comptroller, one thousand dollars ; for print-


ing the report of the State Tax Commissioner, four

hundred dollars ; for the necessary traveling expen-
ses of the State Tax Commissioner, eight hundred


dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ; for


printing expenses and clerical services, stationery


and postage, copies and other necessary expsnses in


the office of the Attorney General, thirteen hundred


dollars, to be paid on vouchers therefor duly exhib-


ited to the Comptroller, or so much thereof as may


be necessary; for the contingent fund of the Com-


missioner of the Land Office, three hundred dollars,


or so much thereof as may be necessary ; for the


contingent fund of the Library, including postage,


porterage, freight and other incidental expenses, five


hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-


sary; for the augmentation of the State Library,


two thousand five hundred dollars, or so much there-


of as may be necessary ; to the State Librarian for


distributing the Maryland Reports for the year end-


ing September the thirtieth, eighteen hundred and


eighty-one, one hundred dollars, or so much thereof


as may be necessary ; for the contingent fund of the


Court of Appeals, three hundred dollars, or so much


thereof as may be necessary ; for the postage of the
