INSPECTIONS.


For the salaries of five Inspectors of Tobacco in


Baltimore city, eighteen hundred dollars each, nine


thousand dollars; for insurance on State tobacco


warehouses, one thousand dollars, or so much there-


of as in the discretion of the Board of Public "Works


may be necessary ; for the payment of the annual


ground rent on tobacco warehouse lots in Baltimore


city, four hundred and forty-eight dollars and eleven


cents ; for the salaries of two Inspectors of Steam


Boilers in the city of Baltimore, fifteen hundred


dollars each, three thousand dollars ; for the salaries


of two Commissioners of Fisheries, fifteen hundred


dollars each, three thousand dollars ; and to defray


the expenses of the Commissioners of Fisheries as


per chapter forty-seven of the act of eighteen hun-

dred and seventy-six, ten thousand dollars, or so

much thereof as in the opinion of the Governor may


be necessary ; for salary of Mine Inspector for Alle-


gany and Garrett counties, twelve hundred dollars ;


and that the Treasurer is hereby directed to pay,


upon the warrant of the Comptroller, to W. H.


Smith, Charles H. Hamill and John Ryan sums in


all not exceeding eighteen hundred dollars, at the


rate of one hundred and seventy-five dollars per


month, affidavit to said Comptroller being first made


by them of the actual time respectively consumed


by them in the performance of the duties and ser-


vices rendered under section fifteen of the act of the


General Assembly of eighteen-hundred and seventy-


eight, chapter one hundred and fifty-seven, and one


hundred dollars additional to said W. H. Smith for


expenses.


MILITIA.


For the salary of the Adjutant General of the


State, fifteen hundred dollars, to be paid out of the


appropriation for the support of the militia; for the
support of the militia, to be expended under the

supervision of the Governor, in accordance with the


provisions of the acts of assembly of eighteen hun-


dred and seventy, chapter one hundred and eighty-two
