CHAPTER 413.


AN ACT to give and declare the sanction of the


General Assembly of Maryland to the several be-


quests to charitable institutions contained in the


will of Samuel E. Annan, late of Frederick


county, deceased.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That the sanction of the General


Assembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby


given to the following bequests to the charitable in-


stitutions contained in the will of Samuel E. Annan,


late of Frederick county, deceased, dated the nine-


teenth day of December, eighteen hundred and sev-


enty-nine, and duly admitted to probate in the Or-


phans' Court of Frederick county, on the first day


of January, eighteen hundred and eighty, viz. : one


thousand dollars to the Board of Foreign Missions


of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of


America ; one thousand dollars to the Board of Home


Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the United

Sanction giv-

States of America, incorporated April the nineteenth,

en.

eighteen hundred and seventy-two, by act of the


Legislature of the State of New York ; five hun-


dred dollars to the trustees of the General Assembly


of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of


America, for the use of the Presbyterian Committee


of Missions for Freedmen ; five hundred dollars to


the trustees of the General Assembly of the Pres-


byterian Church in the United States of America,


to be used in the spread of the Gospel among the


Indians of the States and Territories of the United


States of America ; and the residue of his estate to

the Tom's Creek Presbytprian Church at Emmitts-


burg, Frederick county, Maryland.
