SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall

take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 412.

AN ACT directing the Comptroller to issue his

warrant upon the Treasurer, to pay James R.

Willing damages and costs sustained against him

by Thomas Bozman, while in the discharge of his

official duties as an officer of the State of Mary-

land.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury,
is hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant

upon the Treasurer, to pay James R. Willing, the

amount of damages, costs and charges sustained by

him in the above cause, upon the proper vouchers

being produced by him to the Comptroller, not ex-
ceeding nine hundred and eighty-three dollars and

sixty-seven cents, being the amount of damages and

cost sustained against him by Thomas Bozman,

while in the discharge of his duties as an officer of

the State of Maryland.

This claim has been presented to, and reported

upon by the Comptroller as required by the Consti-

tution.
