CHAPTER 390.


AN ACT to authorize George H. Meekins, of Dor-


chester county, to erect a gate on the county road


in Meekins' Neck, leading to Fishing creek, in


Hooper's island district of said county, and oppo-


site said George H. Meekins' farm.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That from and after the passage


of this act, it shall and may be lawful for George H.

Meekins, of Dorchester county, to erect and keep a

gate, at his own expense, on the county road opposite
the said Meekins' farm, in Meekins' Neck, leading


to Fishing creek, in Hooper's island district of said


county.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if any person or


persons, after the passage of this act, shall cut down,


destroy, take away or remove the said gate, upon

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Meekins
