CHAPTER 383.


AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the


claims of Medairy and Bowers, for stationery fur-


nished for the use of the General Assembly, Court


of Appeals, and the State Library ; to pay to


Samuel Casey, Weigher General of Grain, a sum


of money in full for services rendered by him and


his assistants in the weighing of grain required


by a law of this State to be weighed ; to pay the


expenses of Joint Committee of the Senate and


House of Delegates, appointed to investigate the


management of Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, and


to pay expenses of the committee appointed to

examine the conduct of Judge Pearre.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treas-


ury be and he is hereby authorized and directed to


issue his warrants upon the State Treasurer to pay


Medairy and Bowers the sum of six thousand two


hundred and six dollars and eighty-two cents, for


stationery furnished for the use of the General As-


sembly, the Court of Appeals and the State Library ;


to pay Samuel Casey, Weigher General of Grain,


the sum of five thousand five hundred and twenty-


four dollars, in full pay for all services rendered by


him and his assistants for the weighing of grain re-
