by the Code of Public General Laws for constable

sales.

SEC. 26. And be it enacted, That upon final rat-
|
|
|
|
|
ification and confirmation of said sale by the Cir-
|
|
|
|
|
cuit Court for Allegany county, the mayor and
|
|
|
|
|
councilmen, or the mayor and a majority of the
|

councilmen, shall execute and deliver to the pur-

chaser a deed of the property sold, with the seal
|
|
|

of the town affixed, and the said deed shall convey

to the purchaser the property sold.

SEC. 27. And be it enacted, That the bailiff of

said town may make all collections required of him at
any time within the year for which he was ap-

SEC. 28. And be it enacted, That the mayor and

councilmen may appoint a supervisor or supervis-

ors of the streets, lanes and alleys of said town, and

compensation for his services as they may deem rea-

SEC. 29. And be it enacted, That the bailiff of

eaid town shall attend the meeting of the mayor
|
|

|
|
and councilmen when required, and perform such
|
|
|
|
|
services as they shall direct ; shall prevent the tu-

multuous and irregular meetings of dissoluto and

disorderly persons within said town, and disperse

|
|
|
them, when assembled, by lawful means, and they
|
|
|
|
|
shall be held amenable to such penalties as shall

be prescribed by the mayor and councilmen.

SEC. 30. And be it enacted, That the said bailiff
|
|
|
|
|
shall have the same power, and receive the same fees as
|

serving any process for violation of the ordinance

of the town, or in the discharge of his duties as bai-

SEC. 31. And be it enacted, That all fines, penal-
