AN ACT to incorporate the Fire Insurance Salvage


Corps of Baltimore.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the Balti-


more Equitable Society, the president of the Balti-


more Fire Insurance Company, the president of the


Firemen's Insurance Company, the president of the


Associated Firemen's Insurance Company, the pres-


ident of the National Fire Insurance Company, the


president of the Howard Fire Insurance Company,


the president of the Peabody Fire Insurance Com-


pany, the president of the Maryland Fire Insurance


Company, the president of the American Fire In-


surance Company, the president of the German Fire


Insurance Company, the president of the Potomac


Fire Insurance Company, the president of the Home
Fire Insurance Company, the president of the United
German Real Estate and Fire Insurance Company,

Body politic
and corpor-
ate.

and such other persons as may become associ-


ated with them and their successors, shall be and


they are hereby declared to be a body politic and


corporate, by the name and style of the Fire Insur-


ance Salvage Corps of Baltimore, and by that name


shall have succession, and be capable in law to sue


and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and be


answered, defend and be defended in all courts of


law and equity or elsewhere ; to make and use a


common seal, and the same to alter and renew at


pleasure, and generally to do and perform all things


relative to the objects of its incorporation which


may be lawful.
