town ; provided the same shall not interfere with


navigation of said river.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commis-


sioners be and they are hereby authorized and em-

CHAPTER 343.


AN ACT to provide for the granting of licenses to


brokers in horses in the city of Baltimore, and to


regulate the mode of carrying on the business of


brokerage in horses in said city.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That any person, copartnership or


firm applying for the same, and paying the sum of
fifty dollars, may obtain a license for carrying on the


business of broker in horses in the citj of Baltimore;


provided that all the names and the places of busi-

firm applying for a license, shall be inserted in the

license, and if the copartnership or firm is composed


of more than two copartners, then an additional sum


of twenty-five dollars shall be paid for each copartner
