CHAPTER 327.

AN ACT to repeal section twenty-three of chapter
|
|
|
|
|
one hundred and eight of the Acts of Assembly
|
|
|
|
|
at the January session of one thousand eight hun-
|
|
|
|
|
dred and seventy-eight, entitled "An act to add
|
|
|
|
|
an additional article to the Code of Public Local
|
|
|
|
|
Laws, to be entitled ' Garrett county,' " and re-
|
|
|
|
|
enact the same with amendments, extending the
|
|
|
|
|
time for killing deer in said county, and giving
|
|
|
|
|
permission to run wounded deer with dogs.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section twenty-three of chapter
|
|
|
|
|
one hundred and eight of the Acts of Assembly,
|
|
|
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
passed at the January session of one thousand eight
hundred and seventy eight, entitled "An act to add
an additional article to the Code of Public Local
|
|
|
|
|
Laws, to be entitled ' Garrett county,' " be and the
|
|
|
|
|
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
|
|
|
|
|
as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 23. No person shall kill or destroy, or try to
|
|
|
|
|
kill or destroy, any wild deer in said county, except
|
|
|
|
|
during the months of October, November and De-
|
|
|
|
|
cember, and no person shall at any time catch or
|
|
|
|

destroy any wild deer by running or chasing them
by dog or dogs, unless the same shall have been first
|
|
|
|
|
wounded, and for every violation of this section the
|
|
|
|
|
offender shall, on conviction, pay a fine of not less
|
|
|
|
|
than twenty-five nor more than fifty dollars.

|
