	CHAPTER 295.
	AN ACT to refund a certain sum of money to
	George W. Carpenter of Charles county.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
	hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant
	upon the Treasurer for the payment of the sum of	Issue war-
	twenty-five dollars to George W. Carpenter of Charles county, that being the amount paid by him	rant.

	been recommended by the officers of the treasury,
	as is required by the constitution.

	CHAPTER 296.
	AN ACT to amend the charter of the Mutual Fire
	Insurance Company of Cecil county.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
	bly of Maryland, That the provisions of the original
	charter of the Mutual Fire Insurance Company of
	Cecil county, passed by the General Assembly of
	Maryland at December session, eighteen hundred
	and forty-five, chapter two hundred and forty-nine,
	and of the supplement thereto, passed at January	Made perpet-
	session, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, chapter one	ual.

	said company to twenty years, and under which its
	corporate powers will expire in January, eighteen
	hundred and eighty-six, be and the same are hereby
	repealed, and the charter of said company is hereby
	made perpetual; provided that the General Assem-
	bly reserves to itself the right to amend or repeal
