CHAPTER 256.


AN ACT to make valid deeds, mortgages, and other


conveyances executed and acknowledged since the


twenty-second day of March, eighteen hundred


and sixty-seven, before any justice of the peace in


any county or city in this State, where the grantors


resided or where the lands or other property are


situated.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That all deeds, mortgages and


other conveyances made and executed in the State


of Maryland since the twenty-second day of March,


in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, which
