CHAPTER 245.


AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners


for Anne Arundel county to adjust and settle with


Charles Eeese, of Baltimore city, for county and


school taxes, paid by him in error on certain real


estate in Anne Arundel county.


WHEREAS it is represented to this General Assem-


bly that a certain Charles Reese, of Baltimore city,


has for a number of years past paid taxes assessed


for State, county and school purposes on his real es-


tate, near the city of Annapolis, much in excess of

the quantity of land really owned by him, from an


error in the deed under which he purchased said


land, as now disclosed by a survey of said land ;


therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners


for Anne Arundel county be and they are hereby


authorized and directed to adjust and settle with


Charles Reese the tax bills assessed on his property

since January, eighteen hundred and sixty-six, ac-
cording to the correct amount of land owned by him,


as shown by the plat and survey of the same, accord-


ing to principles of equity.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-


missioners for Anne Arundel county, when they


have so adjusted said tax bills, be and they are here-
