CHAPTER 243.


AN ACT to authorize the Regents of the Univer-


sity of Maryland to sell, encumber or otherwise


dispose of, in whole or in part, the property on


Lombard and Green streets, in the city of Balti-


more, held by said University or said Regents for


the use of the Faculty of Physic of said Univer-


sity, and the moneys derived therefrom to apply


to the alteration, improvement and equipment of


the buildings now thereupon, or the purchase,


erection and equipment of other buildings, or


both, for the use of said Faculty, and the increase


of the facilities and usefulness of its school of


medicine.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Regents of the University

Empowered

of Maryland be and they are hereby authorized and

to sell.

empowered to sell, encumber or otherwise dispose
of, in whole or in part, all the lots of ground and


premises, with the improvements and the appurten-
ances belonging to and held by the said University,


or the Regents thereof, situate at and about the


southwest and northeast corners or intersections re-


spectively of Green and Lombard streets, in the city


of Baltimore, and known as the Medical College


and Infirmary property, and now being used by the


Faculty of Physic of said University for the pur-


poses of a school of medicine and an infirmary or


hospital respectively; and the said Regents are here-


by authorized and empowered to execute all such

deeds or other instruments or conveyances, and do


all such acts as may be necessary or proper to pass


a full and complete title to the said property, or any
part thereof or interest therein, which may be aliened


or disposed of without obligation on the part of the


purchasers or grantees to see to the application of


the money paid.
