	CHAPTER 242.
	AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
	of Charles county to levy a sum of money to re-
	fund to Henry A. Neale, for taxes improperly
	assessed against him and paid to said county.
	WHEREAS it has been represented to this General
	Assembly that Henry A. Neale, of Charles county, has been improperly assessed and charged with	Preamble.
	eighty-three acres of land which he did not possess,
	on which he has paid taxes for a number of years ;
	therefore,
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
	bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Charles county are authorized to adjust and set-
	tle the account of the said Henry A. Neale for such
	county taxes so alleged to be improperly paid by him, and to levy for his use upon the assessable	Adjust and. settle.
	property of said county such sum as they in their
	judgment may deem to be just and proper, as repay-
	ment for such county taxes so alleged to have been
	improperly paid by him.
