CHAPTER 199.

|
AN ACT authorizing the Board of Public "Works
|
|
|
|
to sell the interest of the State in the Annapolis
|
|
|
|
and Elk Ridge Railroad Company.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the Board of Public "Works of
|
Authorized
|
|
|
Maryland be and it is hereby authorized and em-
|
to sell and as-
sign
|
|
|
powered to, at any time after the passage of this
|
|
|
|
act, enter into a contract or agreement, which shall
|
|
|
|
be binding upon said board and said State, with
|
|
|
|
the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Company,
|
|
|
|
to sell and assign to said company all the stock and
|
|
|
|
interest of the State in, and all claims and demands
|
|
|
|
of the State against the Annapolis and Elk Ridge
|
|
|
|
Railroad Company, upon such terms as said Board
|
|
|
|
of Public Works may deem advantageous to the
|
|
|
|
State ; provided that said contract for such sale shall
|

and in operation between Drum Point and the An-

|
|
|
napolis and Elk Ridge Railroad, and also condi-

tioned that said Baltimore and Drum Point Rail-

road shall not reassign said interest either to the
|
|
|
|
Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Company or to
|
|
|
|
the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
|
effect immediately from and after its passage, and
|

that all acts and parts of acts repugnant to this act
|
|
|
|
shall be repealed and of no effect.
