person injured by reason of any person being intox-

icated by liquor sold by said vendor, said damages

to be ascertained by a justice of the peace for said

county, when the sum claimed does not exceed one

|
|
|
hundred dollars, if more than one hundred dollars,
|
|
|
|
then, in the same manner as debts for like amounts
|
|
|
|
are now recovered by law.

|
|
|
SUB-SECTION V. Nothing in this act shall be con-
|
|
|
|
strued to authorize any sale or barter, or giving
|
|
|
|
away of any spirituous or fermented liquor or lager
|

beer on the Sabbath day, commonly called Sunday,

SUB-SECTION W. In any criminal prosecution
