SUB-SECTION P. Before any person can obtain a li-


cense under this act he shall De required to pay to


the said clerk, for the license to be issued as herein-


after directed, for each place of sale of intoxicating


liquor, the sum of money which is now, or which


may hereafter be, required by the general law of the


State to be paid into the treasury of the State, and


shall, in addition thereto, pay the said clerk, for a li-

County School Commissioners of Somerset county,

board, and all licenses issued under this act shall ex-


pire on the first day of May next thereafter, and


whenever the foregoing provisions have been fully
complied with, it shall be the duty of the said clerk


to issue to the applicant license accordingly, and the
said licenses shall be transferable as traders' licenses


now are under the general law of the State.


SUB-SECTION: Q. No person who shall obtain li-


cense under this act shall sell or barter any intoxi-


cating, spirituous, vinous or fermented liquors to


any minor, except upon the written order of his


parent, guardian or employer, or to any person intox-


icated at the time; but any hotel keeper, licensed


under this act, may sell intoxicating, spirituous or


fermented liquor to all other persons in drinks, to


be drank upon the premises, but not otherwise ; and
