CHAPTER 136.

AN ACT to repeal chapter three hundred and sixty-
|
|
|
|
|
three of the acts of eighteen hundred and seven ty,
|
|
|
|
|
entitled an act to incorporate the town of Upper
|
|
|
|
|
Marl borough, in Prince George's county, and to
|
|
|
|
|
re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That chapter three hundred and
|
|
|
|
|
sixty-three of the acts of eighteen hundred and seven-
|
Repealed and
|
|
|
|
ty, entitled an act to incorporate the town of Upper
|
re-enacted.
|
|
|
|
Marlborough, in Prince George's county, be and the
|
|
|
|
|
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
|
|
|
|
|
as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the citizens of the town of Upper
|
|
|
|
|
Marlborough, in Prince George's county, be and they
are hereby created a body corporate by the name of
the Commissioners of Upper Marlborough, and that
|

body politic.
|
|
|
|
by that name may have perpetual succession, may
|
|
|
|
|
sue and be sued, and may have and use a common
|
|
|
|
|
seal.
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the corporate
|
|
|
|
|
limits of the town of Upper Marlborough shall be as
follows : Commencing at the mouth of the Federal
|
Corporate
limits of Up-
|
|
|
|
Spring Branch, at its confluence with the Western
|
per Marlbo-
|
|
|
|
Branch, and running down and with the meanders
|
rough
|
|
|
|
of said Western Branch on the south side thereof,
|
|
|
|
|
and exclusive of said branch to the stream beyond
|
|
|
|
|
James B. Belts' meadow, then up, and with said
|
|
|
|
|
stream to the small bridge or culvert on the road
|
|
|
