or in such other place or places, in said county, where

prohibition may exist at the time of the passage of
|
|
|
|
this act, whether the voters of said county shall de-
|
|
|
|
clare at the election herein provided for against
|
|
|

the sale of such liquors or not/
|
|
|
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That nothing herein
|
|
|

contained shall be construed to prevent the com-

fere with pie-
scriptions
|
pounding or sale of any such liquors by a pharmacist
or druggist who may or shall obtain license therefor
|
|
|
|
under the license laws of the State, upon the writ-
|
|
|
|
ten bona fide prescription of a regular practicing
|
|
|
|
physician, whose name shall be signed thereto, and
|
|
|
|
every such prescription shall be filed and kept by
|
|
|
|
such pharmacist or druggist, and no prescription
|
|
|
|
shall be filled but once; but no physician shall make
|
|
|
|
or sign any such prescription unless the person for
|
|
|
|
whom it is made is actually sick, or such liquors are
|
|
|
|
absolutely required as a medicine ; and any physi-
|
|
|
|
cian who, after said first day of May, (1880) eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and eighty, shall make or sign any prescrip-
|
|
|
|
tion for such liquors, except as aforesaid, shall be
|
|
|
|
deemed guilty of a violation of this act, and upon
|
|
|

conviction thereof shall be fined not less than

the first offence, nor less than one hundred dollars

nor more than five hundred dollars for each subse-

quent offence, said fine to be paid to Board of Pub-

lic School Commissioners of .Prince George's county,
|
|
|
|
for the use of said public schools; nor shall anything
|
|
|
|
herein be construed to prohibit a sale by such phar-
|
|
|
|
macist or druggist in case of extreme illness, when
|
|
|
|
delays may be dangerous to the patient.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
