CHAPTER 79.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay

John L. Hopkins, late collector of State taxes in

Talbot county, the amount over paid by him into

the treasury.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of this

to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer of this

amount over-
paid.

State to pay John L. Hopkins, of Talbot county,

the sum of eighty-five dollars and thirty-nine cents,

being the amount overpaid by the said John L.
Hopkins into the treasury as collector of State

taxes of said county for the years eighteen hundred

and seventy-six and eighteen hundred and seventy-

seven, and certified to by the Comptroller and Treas-

urer of this State, and by them recommended to be

refunded.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to give and declare the sanction of the

General Assembly of Maryland to certain be-

quests contained in the last will and testament of

Samuel Bevan, late of Baltimore city, deceased.
