CHAPTER 70.

AN ACT to give and declare the sanction of the

General Assembly of Maryland to certain devises-

and bequests of Sophia E. Stimpson, late of Bal-

timore city, to the Central Presbyterian Church

of the city of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the sanction and consent of
the General Assembly of Maryland be and the same

is hereby given and declared to the devise to the

Central Presbyterian Church of the city of Balti-

more, of a lot of ground in fee simple, situated near

the corner of McHenry and Gilmor streets, in the

city of Baltimore, together with the yearly ground

rent of forty-four dollars issuing and arising out of

said lot of ground; and to the devise to said church

of one undivided moiety of a lot of ground in fee

simple, situated near the corner of McHenry and'

Gilmor streets in said city; and one undivided half

of a yearly rent of forty dollars issuing out of said

last mentioned lot of ground, being twenty dollars

per annum ; and also to the bequest of five thousand

of its sewing and Sabbath schools, by and under

Baltimore city.

Effective

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.
