has been given by the owner of the leasehold estate, and such
other facts as may be necessary to properly present the matter to
the court, and all such petitions shall be sworn to by the guardian.
Orphans' Court.
1900, ch. 68.
227. The judges of the orphans' court of the several counties
shall each receive the sum of four dollars for every day's attend-
ance upon the sessions of said court, to be paid at least as often
as at the end of each and every quarter after the qualification of
said judges by the counties, provided that St. Mary's county be
exempted from the provisions of this section. The judges of the
Orphans' Court of Baltimore City shall receive nine dollars for
every day's attendance upon the session of said Orphans' Court
of Baltimore City, to be paid by the City of Baltimore at the end
of each and every month, and the sessions of said Orphans'
Court of Baltimore City shall continue from 11 A. M. to 3 P. M.,
if necessary, for the transaction of the business of the court, and
provided that all provisions of any Public General Law or Pub-
lic Local Law inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Sales.

275A. The court shall also have the power to direct a sale of any
part of the personal estate of a decedent, on application of an
administrator or executor, whenever it shall appear thereby, or
upon such further proof as the court may require, that a sale is
advantageous to the persons interested in said estate.
1900, ch. 74.
290A. Whenever a sale of real or leasehold estate is made
under the authority of the Orphans' Court, or under power con-
tained in a will, and is reported to said court for its ratification,
the sale may be ratified by said court at once without the publica-
tion of an order nisi; provided all parties in interest are sui juris
and their consent is given to such immediate ratification.
