fully each petition and see that the requirements of this section
are strictly complied with, and they shall not order to be paid
any claim for extra compensation unless each and every provis-
ion is fully complied with, and unless there is annexed to each
petition, an affidavit of the truth of the matter in it, and that
euch extra services were absolutely and indispensably necessary
in each case; and after all the requirements of this section are
'Complied with, they shall then pay only such sum for extra com-
pensation as shall appear to them to be fair, reasonable and
proper, and when they are fully and entirely satisfied after the
examination of the petition, and other investigation, if necessary
in their judgment, that the extra services were absolutely neces-
sary.

337. The State's attorney of Cecil county shall receive the
sum of fifteen dollars in each and every case in which he shall
appear for the State in said county, to be levied by the county
commissioners for the use of the State's attorney, and the same
shall be in addition to the appearance fee as now fixed by law, in
each and every case in which he shall so appear.

338. Said amount shall be in lieu of all trial fees, except in
such special cases as in the judgment of the county commissioners
may require additional compensation, when the commissioners
may allow the State's attorney such additional sum as in their
judgment may seem right and proper.

run at large in the first and second election districts of Cecil
county.
