such school house, and no more; and such money shall be applied
to the rebuilding of such house and to no other purpose whatever;
and the county commissioners shall provide for such indebtedness
by an additional levy in the following year.

324. All owners of dogs and sluts, upwards of two months
old, in Cecil county, shall pay to the county an annual tax of one
dollar for each dog and two dollars for each slut; and any dog
or slut kept or staying about the premises of any person, with
his knowledge, whether such person be the owner or only the
occupant of said premises, shall be deemed, for the purposes of
this section, the property of said person; and the tax imposed by
this section shall be due and payable on the first day of Septem-
ber of each year.

325. It shall be the duty of the county treasurer to collect
and pay into the county treasury the tax due from owners of dogs
and sluts in the county, and for such additional service he shall
receive an additional compensation not exceeding ten per centum
of the whole amount of such tax collected by him, to be paid out
of such tax; and for the faithful performance of such additional
service, his official bond shall be liable.

326. For the collection of the annual tax from owners of
dogs and sluts, he is invested with all the authority conferred
upon him as collector of State and county taxes.

327. The real estate and personal property of owners of dogs
and sluts in the county shall be liable for the said tax, and may
be sold by the treasurer to pay the same and all costs of sale, in
the same manner as such property may be sold for State and
county taxes.

328. The treasurer, upon the order of the county commis-
sioners, shall cause to be killed any dog or slut for which said tax
