each Monday of its said regular terms, and on the Monday and
Tuesday of every week in the year other than the weeks of the
said regular terms.

1878, ch 206.

127. The said court shall sit for the transaction of business
from nine o'clock A. H. to three o'clock P. M. of each day, and
in no case shall they sit oftener than two days in any one week,
except during the regular jury terms of the circuit court for
Carroll county, when, if necessary for the despatch of business,
they may sit by adjournment every day during the time said
circuit court is in actual session, unless it exceeds three weeks;
and except, also, when it shall appear to said orphans' court to be
necessary for the purpose of examining witnesses or hearing
arguments in a cause depending before said orphans' court, on
which occasion they may adjourn from day to day in any week,
as long as it may be necessary in the trial of such cause.

REVENUE AND TAXES.

1874, ch 513. 1888, ch 187.

128. All persons and incorporated institutions that shall pay
their county taxes on or before the first day of September of the
year for which they were levied, shall be entitled to a deduction
of two per centum on the amount of said taxes; and at the time
of receiving said taxes the collector shall make the deduction
aforesaid, and note the same upon the receipt given to the persons
or incorporated institutions so paying.

1874, ch, 512.

129. All State and county taxes shall be liens on the real
estate of the party indebted, from the date of their levy, and
shall be considered in arrears on the first day of January next
succeeding the date of their levy, and shall bear interest from
that date at the rate of six per centum per annum.

130. In all cases where either State or county taxes or both
shall be in arrear and unpaid, and the collector shall find it neces-
sary to enforce the collection thereof, he shall first leave with the
party by whom the taxes are to be paid, or at the usual place of
