until it intersects at the tan yard branch; thence running with
said branch until a due north line will include all the buildings
on that part of said town; thence north thirty-five perches;
thence easterly so as to include all the houses and lots within the
limits of said town, until a due south line will go to the first place
of beginning.

37. The male citizens of Bridgetown of the age of twenty-one
years and upwards shall, on the second Monday of April in each,
year, at such place in said town as shall be designated by the cor-
poration, elect five persons who have resided in said town three
months next preceding the election, commissioners of Bridgetown.

38. All elections shall be held and conducted as shall front
time to time be directed by the by-laws of the corporation, not in-
consistent with this sub-title of this article.

39. If, during the year for which they may be elected, any of
the commissioners shall die, resign, or remove from the town, or
be otherwise disqualified, an election to fill the vacancy shall be
held, at which all persons qualified to vote for commissioners shall
be entitled to vote.

40. The commissioners so elected shall, at their first meeting
after their election, choose some one of their number president of
the board, who shall preside at the meetings of the commissioners,
preserve order, and give such directions as the commissioners may
deem necessary to enforce the provisions of this sub-title of this
article.

41. The commissioners may meet from time to time as often
as occasion may require, and not less than once in every three
months.
