circuit court for said county, one-half to go to the informer and
the other half to the use of the almshouse.

27. All sheriffs, bailiffs, constables and other officers shall aid
the trustees for the poor, and the officers and servants employed
by them, in the discharge of their respective duties.

28. If any person shall be sued or prosecuted for any thing
done in pursuance of this sub-title of this article, he may plead
the general issue and give the special matter in evidence, and if,
upon trial, verdict shall be found for the defendant, or if the plain-
tiff be non-suited or discontinue, the defendant shall recover
treble costs; and if the plaintiff shall be unable to pay them, they
shall be paid by the attorney who brought or prosecuted the suit,
unless the plaintiff shall give security for the costs, to be ap-
proved by the court.

1868, ch. 424.

29. The citizens of the town of Berlin, in Worcester county,
are constituted a body corporate, by the name of "The Commis-
sioners of Berlin," and by that name may have perpetual succes-
sion, sue and be sued, and have and use a common seal.

30. The limits of said town shall begin at the southeast corner
of the Buckingham cemetery, and shall run from thence, by and
with the south side of the Newport road, via the African church, to
the northwest corner of the Major Hill lot, and thence to the
intersection of the Synepuxent road with Hudson's branch;
thence to the south side of the bridge, over Nelson's branch, on
the Taylorsville road; thence to the south side of the bridge at
the intersection of the St. Martin's and Whaleyville roads; thence
to L. P. Franklin's gate on the Libertytown road; thence to the
southwest corner of H. D. Tingle's lot on the road running from
the Buckingham cemetery to John E. H. Marshall's gate; thence in
an easterly course by and with said road and the south line of
said cemetery to the beginning; and the commissioners may
make such alterations in said limits as they may deem advisable,
