196 BALTIMORE COUNTY. [ART. 3.

CRIER AND BAILIFFS.

P. L. L., (1860, ) art. 3, sec. 95.

65. The judges of the circuit court for said county shall allow
to the crier of said court such compensation as they may think
proper, not exceeding two dollars per day, while attending said
court during its sittings in equity.

66. The county commissioners shall annually levy such sum of
money as will be sufficient to pay the crier of the circuit court
for the next ensuing year.

67. At the end of each quarter of every year, the clerk of the
circuit court shall certify to the treasurer of the county the
amount due said crier, and the treasurer shall forthwith pay the
same.

68. The bailiffs of the circuit court shall be paid a salary of
fifty dollars per month each in lieu of all fees.

69. The said salary shall be due and payable by the county
commissioners on the first Tuesday of each and every month.

70. The county commissioners shall annually levy such sum
of money as will be sufficient to pay the bailiffs of the circuit
court for said county, for the next ensuing year, which shall be
paid in the same manner and upon the same evidence as the crier
is directed to be paid.

71. No person shall shoot or otherwise destroy any wild deer
in Baltimore county from the first day of January to the first day
of September, under the penalty of five dollars for every deer so
killed or destroyed, to be recovered before a justice of the peace
for the said county as other debts, one-half to the informer and
the other half to the use of the county.
