upon which the landing for the town of La Trappe, in said county,
is located, is changed to La Trappe river, and said Dividing creek
shall hereafter be called and known by the name of Dividing river.

167. The name of the tributary or branch of the Choptank
river, extending into Talbot county, known as Harris' creek, is
changed to Harris river, and that known as Broad creek, is
changed to Broad river, and said Harris' creek and Broad creek
shall hereafter be called and known by the names of Harris"
river and Broad river, respectively.

168. The name of the tributary or branch of the St. Michael's,
river, known as Leeds creek, extending into Talbot county, is
changed to Leeds river and said Leeds creek shall hereafter be
called and known by the name of Leeds river.

169. The name of the tributary or branch of Wye river,
known as Skipton creek, extending into Talbot county, is changed
to Skipton river, and said Skipton creek shall hereafter be called
and known by the name of Skipton river.

170. The county commissioners are authorized and empowered
to control and regulate the public roads in Talbot county.
1882, ch 425.
171. Whenever any supervisor or contractor of the public
roads in Talbot county shall find it necessary to open a water-
course through private property in said county, to secure the
proper drainage of any public road therein, he shall forthwith so
inform the county commissioners; and if the owner of said prop-
erty consent to the opening of such water-course, or if such
owner and the said county commissioners shall agree upon the
value and price to be paid for the same, then such consent and
