NOTARY PUBLIC.

1870, ch. 76.

165. The governor is authorized to appoint a notary public
in Princess Anne, in Somerset county.

OFFICERS' FEES.

P. L. L., (1860,) art. 19, sec. 49.

166. The fees of officers in Somerset county may be sent out
for collection between the first day of January and the fifteenth
day of July in each year; and the sheriff of said county shall be
Allowed until the first day of January then next ensuing to
account for and pay over said fees.

OUT-PENSIONERS.

P. L. L., (1860,) art. 19, sec. 90.

167. The trustees of the poor for said county, in their discre-
tion, may grant an allowance to persons confined to their beds
with disease and unable to be removed to the almshouse, to be
continued as long as the confinement and inability lasts, and no
longer; and may grant out-pensions to others, really necessitous,
upon the recommendation of twenty-five of the taxable inhabi-
tants of the district in which they may reside.

OYSTERS.

P. L. L , (1860,) art. 19, sec. 91.

168. It shall not be lawful for any person to take oysters
within the waters of Somerset county for the purpose of manur-
ing land.

Ibid. sec. 92.

169. It shall not be lawful for any person in said county, or
any person whatsoever, to purchase any oysters for the purpose
of manuring land, from any person whom they know to have
caught the same within the waters of said county.

170. Any person violating the provisions of either of the
two preceding sections shall be liable to a penalty of not less than
