this State, shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty nor
more than one hundred dollars, one-half whereof shall be paid to
the informer, and the other half to the county commissioners.

124. It shall be unlawful for any persons, except citizens of
Somerset county, to use any patent twine, weirs, pound nets or
hedges, for the taking of fish in the waters of said county.

125. Any person who may violate the provisions of the pre-
ceding section, shall, upon conviction thereof before any justice
of the peace for said county, be fined for each and every offence
the sum of twenty-five dollars, and the nets, twine, weirs and
boats or canoes used in violation of said section shall also be
condemned and forfeited.

126. The said justice of the peace rendering such judgment
of condemnation shall order and direct the constable or other
officer making the arrest to sell the said nets, weirs, boats or
canoes, after giving at least ten days' notice by advertisement
inserted in some newspaper published in said county, or by adver-
tisement stuck up at three most public places, of the time and
place of sale; and the said Bale shall be for cash; and after
deducting all costs and charges of advertising and making said
sale, the balance of the proceeds of said sale shall be equally
divided, and one-half thereof shall be paid to the informer, and
the other half shall be paid over to the treasurer of the school
board, for the use of the public schools of said county.

127. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch, or
destroy in any manner whatever, fish in the waters of Colburn's
creek, in Somerset county, with any kind of seine, net or weir,
except such nets as are used for catching rock fish, during the
months of March, April and May, which said last mentioned net
shall not exceed in length twenty fathoms; but nothing herein
shall be construed to prevent fishing with hook and line.
