P. L. L., (1860,) art. 19, sec. 1.

1. The county commissioners of Somerset county, on the first
Tuesday of April in each year, or at their first meeting there-
after, shall appoint three persons, to be styled "Trustees of the
poor for Somerset county," one of whom shall be a resident of
the old upper district, one of the old middle district, and one of
the old lower district of said county, and any two of whom shall
be a quorum to transact business, and they shall continue in office
until their successors shall be appointed and shall have qualified.
