dollars. This sub-title of this article shall not, however, be so
construed as to include the fees and commissions of the said
State's attorney allowed and paid by the State of Maryland.

111. The State's attorney shall not receive any fee in cases of
recognizance, except when the same are traversed; nor shall he
receive any fee or compensation in any case, unless he was present
personally, or represented by other counsel acting in the trial of
such case.
TERRAPINS.

112. It shall be lawful for the bona fide citizens-of St. Mary's,
Calvert and Charles connties, to catch terrapins in the waters of
said counties, between the first day of October and the first day
of May.

113. None but bona fide citizens of St. Mary's, Calvert and
Charles counties shall-catch terrapins in the waters of said coun-
ties.

114. Any person violating either of the two preceding sections,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof before any justice of the peace for St. Mary's, Calvert or
Charles county, shall be fined not less than five, nor more than two
hundred dollars, one-half to be paid to the informer, and the other
half to the county commissioners of the county, of which the justice
of the peace, having jurisdiction and trying the case, is a resident,
for the use and benefit of the public schools of the said county.

115. The boat and seine or any other instrument used by or
found in the possession of any person violating said sections, shall
be responsible for said fine.
