1440 KENT COUNTY. [ART. 15.

in said county, between the twenty-fourth day of December and
the first day of November; nor any woodcock between the first
day of February and the fourth day of July; nor any rabbits
between the twenty-fourth day of December and the first day of
November.

1886, ch. 185.

36. Any person violating any of the provisions of the preced-
ing section, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on
conviction thereof before any justice for said county, shall pay a.
fine of five dollars for each and every partridge, woodcock or
rabbit shot or taken; one-half of said fine to be paid to the infor-
mer and the remainder as hereafter directed, and on the failure
to pay said fine shall be lodged in the county jail for ten days.

37. It shall not be lawful for any person, not a bona fide
resident of said county, to shoot or trap any partridges, woodcock,
rabbits, or any other wild game in the said county, without having;
first obtained from the clerk of the circuit court for said county
a license permitting the person named in such license to shoot or
trap wild game in said county for one year from the day on which.
said license is issued; and the person named therein, or the party
procuring such license, shall pay to said clerk for such license the
Bum of four dollars, and fifty cents for his fee for issuing said
license; and any non-resident convicted before any justice of the
peace of said county for gunning within the limits of said county
without a license so to do, shall be fined twenty dollars for the
first and every subsequent offence; on failure to pay said fine the
offender shall be confined in the c»unty jail for ten days; pro-
vided, that owners may extend the privilege of killing said game;
upon their own lands to whomsoever they may deem proper.

38. It shall not be lawful for any person to ship or attempt to
ship for the purpose of selling elsewhere, at any season of the
year, any partridges, woodcock or rabbits that have been shot or
trapped in said county, into any other county or State without
having first obtained from the clerk of the circuit court for said
county a license permitting the person named therein to sell or
