person interested in them, or to whom the same are charged, shall
require a copy of such account, said officers shall in as short a
time as may be convenient, give him an account of said charges
in words at length; and no account for officers' fees, rendered
for services to or in behalf of any county of this State shall be
allowed by the county commissioners thereof, until said account
has been submitted to and approved by the judges of the circuit
court of said county or a majority thereof.

239. The preceding section shall only apply to the counties of
Harford, Dorchester, Charles, Caroline, Kent, Talbot, Prince
George's and Queen Anne's.

ORPHANS' COURT.

1866, ch. 159.

240. The judges of the orphans' court for said county shall
meet on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month during the
year, if the public business requires it, to which terms all processes
shall be made returnable.

1880, ch. 189.

241. They may, at each term, adjourn from day to day, if the
public business requires it, but they shall not so adjourn at any
one term for more than four consecutive days, unless there be
unfinished business then pending and ready for trial; and they
shall have power to appoint a bailiff, who shall receive one dollar
and a half for every day he may be in attendance upon the
sessions of the court, to be levied for and paid by the county
commissioners.

242. The register of wills, during the recess of the orphans'
court, shall have full power and jurisdiction to do all matters and
things whatsoever which the said orphans' court could do at its
regular sessions; and there shall be the same right of appeal
from any order, decree or judgment of said register, as from the
orders, decisions or judgments of said orphans' court.
