136 ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY. [ART. 2.

on reclaiming the same, pay at the rate of twenty-five cents for
every hog and six and a quarter cents for every goose for every
twenty-four hours the same may have been impounded; and any
geese or swine so impounded shall be advertised by notice in
writing set up at two of the most public places in the village.

162. All disputes between the owner of any geese or swine
and the person impounding them, shall be determined by a jus-
tice of the peace for said county, who may summon witnesses and
decide the matter in controversy.

GAS COMPANIES.

1886, ch. 395.

163. All charters for gas companies which have been granted
or issued under the code of public general laws, or any other
law, in Baltimore city, Baltimore county or Anne Arundel
county, are repealed, annulled and made void, except in cases
where the companies incorporated by any of such charters have
erected works and commenced the manufacture of gas.

1886, ch. 384.

164. No gas companies shall be formed in Baltimore city,
Baltimore county or Anne Arundel county, except in the city of
Annapolis.

165. No gas companies chartered in any other counties of
the State shall have the right to lay mains or sell gas in said Bal-
timore city, Baltimore county or Anne Arundel county.

166. It shall not be lawful for any person, company or corpo-
ration to store or keep in his or their possession within the borders
of Anne Arundel county, whether loose or confined, or within
three miles of any incorporated city or town, or of any village,
within any building or shed, upon any lot or premises whatever,
above or below ground, (except in place for blasting, or in the
