1868, ch. 202.

157. All weirs and hedges in the Patuxent river above Hill's
bridge and below the public wharf at the town of Queen Anne
are declared nuisances, and may be abated as such by any person.

158. If any person shall place or make any weir or hedge in
the said Patuxent river, contrary to the provisions of the preced-
ing section, he shall forfeit the sum of twenty-five dollars, to be
recovered before any justice of the peace either of Anne Arun-
del county or Prince George's county, one-half to the informer
or person who may sue for the same and the other half to be
paid to the justice, and by him paid annually to the county com-
missioners of the county.

159. If any person shall fish in any such weir or hedge he shall
for every such offence forfeit the sum of fifteen dollars, to be re-
covered and applied as directed in the preceding section.

FRIENDSHIP.

160. No swine or geese shall go at large in the village of
Friendship, in Anne Arundel county, within the following limits:
beginning at the southwest corner of Alexander Hill's lots, run-
ning east with Thomas Whittington's line to the corner of Lewis
Button's land, and with the said Lewis Button's line to the gate
northward on the road leading to Herring bay, (belonging to
Joseph G. Harrison's land); thence a northwest course to a large
oak, the corner of Samuel Wood's lot; thence west, crossing the
road running northward by the north side of William P. Har-
desty's new dwelling-house, to the east line of Captain Thomas T.
Simmons'; thence south, with the said line crossing the west road
with the line on that side of Thomas Whittington's land to the
beginning.

161 Any person may impound any swine or geese found
going at large in the said limits belonging to any of the inhabi-
