ART. 12.] ROADS. 1285

Friendsville, in Garrett county, along the west side of said
Youghiogheny river to Selbysport as now traveled, and thence
with said county road by Guard's store to the Pennsylvania line,
are placed under the charge and care of Joshua M. Friend and
George Dunham.

202. The county commissioners are authorized and required,
at the time of making the annual levy, in the year eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-eight, to levy the sum of eight hundred dollars
in the hands of said superintendents, provided for by this sub-
title of this article, for the repair of said road hereinbefore desig-
nated, and to be expended equally by said superintendents upon
said road.

203. Said superintendents shall, before entering upon their
duties, execute a bond in the same manner that road supervisors
in Garrett county are required to bond.

204. George Dunham shall have charge of that part of said
road which passes through lands supposed to be owned by George
H. Williams; Joshua M. Friend shall have charge of the re-
mainder of said road, and each shall, on or before the first
day of September, A. D. eighteen hundred and eighty-nine,
Tender a specific account to the county commissioners, of their
expenditures upon said road, and shall return their vouchers for
such expenditures; and said superintendents shall each be allowed
as an item of such expense the sum of two dollars per day for
their services whilst engaged upon said road.

205. Should either of said superintendents fail to qualify as
required, or should either resign or die, his duties shall devolve
upon the other; and should both fail to qualify, resign or die, the
county commissioners shall appoint two superintendents to take
their places with like powers and obligations.
