1228 GARRETT COUNTY. [ART. 12.

CIRCUIT COURT.

1878, ch. 108.

28. There shall be two jury and two non-jury regular common-
law terms of the circuit court for Garrett county, to be held at
Oakland; the two jury terms shall commence on the first Monday
of May and the second Monday of September in each year, and
the two non-jury terms shall commence on the first Monday of
July and the third Monday of December in each year, and to said
jury terms jurors shall be summoned and returned in the mode
prescribed by law.

29. The trial terms of the courts of law shall be the term next

succeeding the term to which original process shall be returnable.

30. The judges of said court may pass such rules as may be
necessary for facilitating the business of the county, both at law
and in equity.

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

1878, ch. 108.

31. There shall be three county commissioners for Garrett
county.

32. They shall meet on the first Monday in January, the first
Monday in May, and the second Monday of September in each
year, and may call special meetings whenever they shall think
proper.

33. They may classify the business of the county, and design-
Ate the meetings at which the several classes of business shall be
disposed of.

1878. ch. 814.

34. Each commissioner shall receive three dollars and fifty
cents for each day's session of the board, and shall also receive
eight cents per mile, each way, for going to and returning from

each meeting, but such mileage shall be allowed but once during
a session.
