teenth day of June; and if any person shall be found guilty by
any justice of the peace of said county of a violation of this sec-
tion, he shall be adjudged to pay a fine of not less than five
dollars for each and every squirrel killed, for the first offence; and
upon failure or refusal of the party to pay said fine he shall be
committed to the county jail for a period not exceeding ten days;
and for each and every such offence, after the first, such party
shall be subject to a fine of not less than ten dollars for each squirrel
killed; and upon failure or refusal to pay said fine he shall be
committed to the county jail for a period not less than twenty
days; the right of appeal to the circuit court, however, shall not
be denied to any person adjudged guilty.

60. One-half of such fine so collected shall go to the informer,
and the other one-half shall be turned over to the general school
fund of the county.
BRIDGES.

61. It shall not be lawful for any person to affix any flood-
gate, water-rack, fence or obstruction of any kind to the free flow
of water to any county bridge in Frederick county, or to place
any flood-gate, water-rack, fence or obstruction of any kind to the
free flow of water against any such bridge; and the road super-
visors of said county are authorized and required to remove any
flood-gate, water-rack, fence or obstruction of any kind to the free
flow of water, that is, or may be affixed to or placed against any
county bridge in said county.

62. If any person shall be found playing at bullets in the
streets of Middletown he shall be liable to presentment or indict-
ment therefor in the circuit court for said county, and on convic-
tion shall be fined, in the discretion of the court, not exceeding
twenty dollars.
