10 ALLEGANY COUNTY. [ART. 1.

the license required in section 6, shall be liable to a penalty of
twenty-five dollars, to be recovered by suit in the name of the
State in the same manner as small debts are recoverable.

9. The sheriff and constables of said county shall sue for and
collect said penalties and pay them to the clerk of the circuit
court for said county, and shall take duplicate receipts from said
clerk, and transmit one of said receipts to the comptroller.

10. The clerk of the circuit court shall pay to the State
treasurer all money received for such licenses in the same man-
ner and time as the money received for other licenses, and shall
be entitled to the same commissions thereon, and the official,
bond of such clerk shall be liable therefor.

1884, ch 137.

11. No person within Allegany county shall, at any time,
kill or destroy any blue bird, swallow, martin, finch, thrush,
wren, oriole or woodpecker, under the penalty of five dollars for
every such bird so killed or destroyed.

1878, ch. 408.

12. No person shall kill or destroy any pheasant between the
first day of January and the first day of September, or any
partridge between the first day of January and the fifteenth day
of October, under a penalty of five dollars for each pheasant or
partridge so killed or destroyed.

13. No person shall kill or destroy any wood-cock between,
he first day of February and the fifteenth day of June, or any
robin between the first day of April and the first day of March,
or any wild-turkey between the first day of January and the
fifteenth day of October, under a penalty of five dollars for each
wood-cock, robin or wild-turkey so killed or destroyed.
